Musa Qala, a town in Helmand Province in Afghanistan, was the site of serious fighting between British forces and Taleban insurgents in 2006. '7 PARA' refers to the 7th Parachute Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery which provided artillery support for 16 Air Assault Brigade when they deployed to Afghanistan. '9 PARA' refers to 9 Parachute Squadron, Royal Engineers.
