'Troops out of Afghanistan' badge, 2006 (c)

Badges like this were worn by protesters on marches against the war in Afghanistan in Manchester on 23 September 2006, London and Glasgow on 15 March 2008, and London on 24 October 2009, 20 November 2010 and 8 October 2011. This example, designed by David Gentleman, was one of thousands distributed by the Stop the War coalition, an organisation set up in 2001 to co-ordinate campaigns and demonstrations against the 'war on terror'.
