Cardboard box manufactured by W Britain Limited, Set 74, 'Royal Welsh (23rd Foot) Fusiliers', from the 'British Soldiers' series.
The box lid has a yellow paper label with images of Royal Welsh Fusiliers soldier, mascot, the regimental badge, and the battle honours of the regiment listed: 'Blenheim', 'Ramillies', 'Oudenarde', 'Malplaquet', 'Dettingen', 'Minden', 'Corunna', 'Martinique', 'Albuhera', 'Badajoz', ''Salamanca', Vittoria'; 'Pyrenees', 'Nivelle', 'Orthes', 'Toulouse', 'Peninsula', 'Waterloo', 'Alma', 'Inkerman', 'Sevastopol', 'Lucknow', Ashantee 1885', 'Burma 1885-87', 'South Africa 1899-1902', 'Relief of Ladysmith' and 'Pekin 1900'.
The box contained eight lead toy figures; miniatures of seven other ranks marching, one officer and a mascot.
