Letter from Lieutenant Standish O'Grady to his father the 1st Viscount Guillamore, 26 April 1813
In this letter, stamp dated Hampton Court, O'Grady complains about the poor state of his finances and the cost of being stationed in London. He hopes the regiment, the 7th Light Dragoons, will be sent to Spain, and this may help alleviate his financial woes.
From a collection of 45 letters associated with Lt Col Standish O'Grady, later 2nd Viscount Guillamore 1813-1830. These letters include those written whilst serving as a Lieutenant with the 7th Light Dragoons in the Peninsular War and at Waterloo, 1815-1830.
