23rd Regiment of (Light) Dragoons (Lancers) Medal for Merit, 1816

Silver medal awarded to Quarter Master Joseph Crouchley. The reverse is inscribed 'THE REWARD OF MERIT AND FAITHFUL SERVICE XXIII LD'. Joseph Crouchley was appointed Quarter Master in 1810. He served with the regiment at Waterloo, for which he received the Waterloo Medal and was placed on half-pay in 1818. He died in 1833.
