Letter to Francis Petre Werry, Secretary to the English Minister in Vienna, from Michael Smith, 4 July 1815

In this manuscript letter Smith refers to the high levels of officer casualties suffered by the British Army at Waterloo (1815). The rest of the letter refers to his travels in Europe and his intention to return to London shortly. It includes a hand drawn coloured illustration at the top of the first page.
