Legion of Honour, France, 1815

This Badge of a Chevalier (5th Class) of the Legion of Honour is said to have been taken from the dead body of a colonel in the Imperial Guard at Hougoumont, Waterloo, on 18 June 1815. The Imperial Guard were the elite troops of Napoleon's Army.
