Manuscript letter from Lieutenan-Coonel W Nicolay, Royal Staff Corps, to Major General John Brown, Paris, 23 July 1815

This letter discusses officers recommended for brevet promotion after the Battle of Waterloo (1815). A major concern of the letter writer was the addition of Major Todd and his company to the Staff Corps serving in the Army of Occupation for whom there was little to do.
