Double-coiled brass bugle, 3rd Regiment of Foot Guards, 1815

This bugle is associated with Ensign Charles Simpson of the 3rd Regiment of Foot Guards. Simpson was serving in No 4 Company, 3rd Regiment of Foot Guards at the Battle of Waterloo. He was killed by a cannonball during the defence of Hougoumont Chateau.
