4th City of London Imperial Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) marching in a church parade at Sidi Bishr, near Alexandria, in Egypt.

3rd and 4th City of London Imperial Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) were both part of 22nd Armoured Brigade at this time. 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) arrived in Sidi Bishr, near Alexandria, by road and rail in early February 1942. The unit trained at Sidi Bishr Camp, attending lectures on gunnery and mechanics and undertaking exchange visits with the Royal Navy. The unit moved its tanks on to Beni Yusef at the end of March 1942.
