Shaving mirror used by the Duke of Wellington, 1815 (c)

This mirror was used by the Duke of Wellington during the Waterloo campaign of 1815 and later given by him to a Mr Palmer, Church Warden of Stratford-Saye Church. The mirror was passed as an heirloom to Mr Palmer's grandson and was auctioned on 24 August 1914 in the sale of that individual's effects following his death in World War One (1914-1918).
