Lee Enfield .303 inch bolt action rifle, No 4 Mk I, 1945
Adopted in 1941, this was the standard British Army rifle for most of the Second World War (1939-1945). It was essentially a lighter and simplified Short Magazine Lee Enfield modified for mass production. Fitted with a ten-round detachable magazine, it had an effective range of 600 yards and a maximum range of 2,000 yards.
