Dear Madame, There is an immediate vacancy for a Military Waitress Cook at £26 a year at Weedon. Kindly proceed there on June 8th and write to Mrs Longford RHA Cadet Battalion, Weedon, Northants, advising her him by which train and date you will arrive. Payment of fares cannot be advanced, but expenses will be refunded after 14 days service.
As no uniform will be provided for the first month, you should take suitable clothes with you. All Head Waitresses Cooks must serve one months paid probation at £26 a year and if found suitable for promotion will be drafted into camps as Head Waitresses Cooks. If you accept the position, please sign the enclosed postcard and post at once. Yours faithfully Florence Leach Controller'.
