An unidentified officer, 2nd Regiment of Life Guards, 1832 (c)

The 2nd Regiment of Life Guards was formed in 1788. The regiment fought in the Peninsular War (1808-1814) and at Waterloo in 1815. After the Napoleonic Wars the unit remained in London, undertaking royal guard and ceremonial duties, for nearly 70 years.
