Letter from Field Marshal Lord Kitchener to Field Marshal Sir Evelyn Wood, 10 May 1914

In this letter from the British Agency in Cairo, Lord Kitchener expresses regret over the death of Captain Arthur Montagau of the Highland Light Infantry and son of General William Montagau McMurdo. According to the letter McMurdo was afflicted by a disease, and despite doctors' best efforts died after an operation.
