The Great Barrack after the siege, 1855

Photograph by James Robertson (1813-1888), Crimean War (1854-1856), 1855.

Robertson's depictions of the aftermath of the fall of Sevastopol, including this panoramic view of the damaged Russian barracks in the port, made his reputation as a photographer.
