Mess tin case, 1900 (c)

This leather case contained a mess tin and mug, known as a 'Tea Billy' or 'Patrol Tin' in the Army and Navy Catalogue of 1907. It was owned by Regimental Sergeant-Major C Fergusson of 3rd County of London Imperial Yeomanry (Sharpshooters), and used by him during the Boer War (1899-1902).
