'Tanks of "C" Squadron by-passing the blown road near Tilburg', 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry, Tilburg, Netherlands, February 1945
Photograph by Major Wilfred Herbert James Sale, MC, 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry, World War Two, North West Europe, 1945.
The regiment continued to operate an officers' mess throughout the war, improvising with whatever facilities they had to hand. Here the officers of one of the regiment's squadrons are pictured at Tilburg, whilst the regiment grouped for the attack on the Reichswald Forest and the battles between the River Meuse and the River Rhine. Three of them are wearing the more formal service dress of period.
