3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry reached Tilburg, in tandem with the Dutch Brigade, on 26 October 1944 after overcoming light German opposition. The regiment lost two tanks to a 50 mm anti-tank gun. It handed over to the 15th (Scottish) Division the following day and headed towards the Belgian village of Poppel.
