Cotton package manufactured by Les Pansements La Croix-Soleil, Paris, France, with paper label including manufacturer's name and instructions for use, 1918 (c).
Field dressings were carried in the kit of all British Expeditionary Force soldiers in World War One (1914-1918). Any soldier caught without their dressing was charged under military law.
