A tea-beak in the field, 1900 (c)

Members of the 1st Chinese Regiment, also known as The Wei Hai Wei Regiment, pause for a brew-up during a field exercise. The regiment took part in the the suppression of the 3rd China War (Boxer Rebellion) (1900), but was disbanded in 1903.
