'Economy' version cap badge, other ranks, Royal Artillery, 1943 (c)

Brown plastic badge made by A Stanley and Sons, Walsall, in the form of a flaming grenade above a scroll bearing the burnished unit motto, 'Ubique'.

Introduced to economise on brass and other metals in badge production. Contracts ran from February 1942 through to June 1946. They were produced in several colours including silver, brass, chocolate brown, mid brown and dark blue for the Royal Marines.
