The King David Hotel housed the central offices of the British Mandatory authorities of Palestine and British Army headquarters. On 22 July 1946 the Jewish terrorist organisation Irgun blew up a wing of the hotel, killing over 90 people, including many civilians.
One of 53 copy photographs taken by Corporal J E Marriage, Royal Engineers, Egypt, Palestine, Aden and Kenya, 1947-1948.
