Certificate attesting the mention of Captain (Temporary Lieutenant Colonel) James Frederick Plunkett, attached to Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, in the despatch of Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig of 16 March 1919, for gallant and distinguished service in the field

Issued by the War Office, 1 July 1919, signed by Winston Churchill, Secretary of State for War.

This was one of five mentions in despatches received Lieutenant Colonel James Frederick Plunkett during World War One (1914-1918). In addition, Plunkett was also awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal, the Military Cross and the Distinguished Service Order with two bars, making him one of the most highly decorated servicemen of the War.
