Charles Temple Morris (1876-1956) was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Princess of Wales's Own (Yorkshire Regiment) on 15 May 1897. He transferred to the Indian Army as a lieutenant in 1900 and served with the 82nd Punjabis (later the 5th Battalion, 1st Punjab Regiment). He began World War One as a captain, was promoted to major in 1915, and became a lieutenant colonel in 1921. He was made a colonel in 1925 and retired from the Army in 1931. He died in London in 1956.
