Forewoman Clerk Ethel Cartledge, Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps, 1918 (c)

Cartledge enrolled in Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps at Warrington on 31 December 1917 and was discharged in London on 15 June 1919. In 1918 she received the Military Medal for continuing with her work during air raids at her camp in France. This was despite having her foot injured by falling wreckage.
