Pattern 1821 Heavy Cavalry Officer's undress sword, 1888

This sword was presented by Colonel R T Maillard, 16th (The Queen's) Lancers, to Second Lieutenant (later Field Marshal Sir) William R Robertson, 3rd (Prince of Wales's) Dragoon Guards, on his being commissioned from the ranks on 20 April 1888.
