Bedford OSBC 3 ton 4x2 tipper truck, 1951

Commercial five ton tipper chassis/cab with all steel dump body. This is the only remaining example of this vehicle made in the 1950s. Other body types on OS and OL chassis included cargo trucks, tractors and water tankers.

This Bedford truck was manufactured in May 1951. It came into service with the British Army in July of that year and after ten years of storage was issued to the Central Vehicle Depot at Ashchurch where it remained until March 1987.
