Printed letter completed in manuscript from Horse Guards, 10 May 1814

The letter advises T (Tom ?) Staveley of his appointment to an ensigncy in the 1st Battalion, 28th (North Gloucestershire) Regiment of Foot, and orderes him to report to its commanding officer in France.

From a collection of 179 letters and notes, 1811-1860 by Lieutenant General William Staveley, (1784-1854), and Captain E Staveley.
