A Royal Artillery 25-pounder field gun in action in Korea, 1951 (c)

Introduced during the Second World War, the 25-pounder was the British Army's primary artillery field piece until the late 1960s. During the Korean War, three Royal Artillery regiments, equipped with 25-pounders, saw action. They were 45 Field Regiment (November 1950-November 1951), 14 Field Regiment (November 1951-December 1952) and 20 Field Regiment (December 1952-December 1953).
