Letter sent to Lieutenant Timothy Romilly Hall from Dr M C J Pilaar at Apeldoorn, Holland, 1 September 1945

The letter expresses clearly the warm feelings between the people of Arnhem and the 1st Airborne Division, and what happened to the Dutch people after the failure of Operation Market Garden in September 1944. Pilaar also invites Hall back to Holland. Hall was wounded and captured at Arnhem.
