Sappers from Basra Palace Boat Troop, part of 35 Engineer Regiment, patrolled the Shatt al-Arab Waterway in Basra, made famous in the 'Tales from the Arabian Nights' as the departure point for Sinbad the Sailor's fantastic voyages.
