The band of the Welsh Guards, Remembrance Sunday, 2016
Digital photograph by Sergeant Rupert Frere, Royal Logistic Corps, 2016.
Members of the Welsh Guards Association march behind the band of the Welsh Guards at Wellington Barracks in London. The figure in the centre wearing State Dress and carrying a ceremonial mace is a drum major. State Dress is worn by Guards Division drum majors on royal anniversaries and birthdays, and when the Sovereign, or a member of the royal family, is present on parade. In this case, Prince Charles, the Colonel of the Welsh Guards, was present at the ceremony.
