A mobile x-ray unit at Bailleul, 1915
Photograph by Lieutenant-Colonel Howard H C Dent, World War One, Western Front (1914-1918), 1915.
There were six mobile x-ray units serving in the British Expeditionary Force in France and Belgium. Other x-ray units were attached to divisional casualty clearing stations. Dent was the commanding officer of the 1/3 North Midland Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC), attached to the 46th Division.
