To the left are the tents of the 57th (The West Middlesex), 20th (The East Devonshire) and 17th (The Leicestershire) regiments, with those of the 55th (The West Norfolk) Regiment of Foot to their right. Behind them are the tents of the Royal Regiment of Artillery attached to the 2nd Division, with the French camp beyond. The two huts behind the mounted officers mark the position of the Royal Regiment of Artillery of the 4th Division, with the camp of the Guards and Highlanders in lines beyond. In the centre of the picture are the tents of the 39th (The Dorsetshire) Regiment of Foot, those of the 49th (The Princess Charlotte of Wales's) Regiment of Foot and the Rifle Brigade far right.
