'Each One Doing His Bit', 1915 (c)

A British infantryman with shouldered rifle, marching alongside a line of characters, including soldiers and a knight in armour, with their torsos formed from rations and food products. The products include a Fray Bentos tin of corned beef, a Huntley and Palmer biscuit, a can of apricot jam, a packet of cigarettes, a jar of rum and a tin of milk, each with a human head, legs and arms. The far end of the line of march is annotated with an arrow and the word 'Bread'.
