Papers of May A Finlay, Deputy Administrator at Boulogne, Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps, March 1919
The Mentioned in Despatches certificate states that Finlay was mentioned in a despatch from Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig 'for gallant and distinguished services in the Field. I have it in command from the King to record His Majesty's high appreciation of the services rendered. Winston Churchill, Secretary of State for War'.
There is also a letter of 1 January 1918 appointing her a Member of the Order of the British Empire.
