The Queen's Gallantry Medal (QGM) is the third highest medal awarded for bravery not in the presence of the enemy. Sergeant Trevor Smith received his in February 1991 for gallantry in the Gulf.
Sergeant Smith was also awarded the Kuwait Liberation Medal, 4th Grade, 1991 and Medal for the Liberation of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, 1991.
