Shows a damaged First World War memorial surrounded by fresh graves. In the foreground is a temporary memorial marker to members of the 1st Battalion Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) who died in the attack on Mozzagrogna in November 1943. Mozzagrogna was captured from the Germans after a bitter fight which saw the town change hands three times.
