'The Glorious 13th Want Men', recruiting leaflet, London, 1914-1918

Recruiting leaflet for the 3rd/13th Princess Louise's Kensington Battalion. The leaflet refers to good pay, uniform and food. It also records a quote by General Sir Henry Rawlinson, referring to the 'Imperishable glory' of the 'Glorious 13th'. Two recruiting points are provided, the Recruiting Headquarters at the Drill Hall, Adam and Eve Yard, High Street Kensington and also, 56 St James's Street, Piccadilly.

The 3/13th London Regiment (3rd Kensingtons) was formed in 1914 and became the home training battalion of the Regiment. The 3/13th Battalion supplied reinforcements for the 1/13th which fought on the Western Front, and 2/13th Battalions which served on the Western Front, Salonika and in the Middle East.
