Gummersall enrolled in London on 16 May 1917. She was discharged following the termination of her engagement in November 1919. This memoir begins in March 1918 and the Spring Offensive. She mentions seeing troops driven out of the trenches, and being billeted in various houses. She later worked in a censors office.
