Letter to Miss Cross, the daughter of Private Alfred Price's employer, 27 August 1916

The letter explains that Price of 7th Battalion, The Buffs (East Kent Regiment), was wounded on the night of 13-14 July 1916 at the Battle of Trones Wood on the Somme. It explains how he was taken by stretcher bearers to a casualty clearing station but died there the next day, on 14 July. Price is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
