Web equipment cleaner, 1914 (c)
Made by the Mills Equipment Company Limited, 56 Victoria Street, London, 1914 (c).
This item was designed for use with the 1908 pattern equipment, which was also made by the Mills Equipment Company. It was designed to make sure that the equipment looked clean and was of a consistent colour. The instructions direct that the equipment is first cleaned of all mud, before the powder is sprinkled on, then rubbed in with a wet brush. Different coloured cleaners could be used to provide a different finish.
