Anti-aircraft section on the outskirts of Armentieres, March 1916

Lantern slide, World War One, Western Front (1914-1918), 1916.

Members of the Royal Horse Artillery serving in an anti-aircraft section observe an approaching aeroplane through telescopes and other instruments. One soldier is assessing the aircraft's range with a range-finder.
