Order for the cessation of hostilities, 11 November 1918
A 22 Corps order from the Brigade Major, 169 Infantry Brigade, on the 11 November 1918, marking the Armistice of World War One (1914-1918). The order is signed by Captain F Bishop.
The order reads: 'Hostilities will cease at 1100 November 11th . Troops will stand fast on line reached at that hour which will be reported to Corps H.Q. Defensive precautions will be maintained and there will be no intercourse of any description with the enemy'.
