During the 2nd Sudan War (1896-1899) 1st Battalion The Lincolnshire Regiment took part in the Battle of Omdurman on 2 September 1898. They are pictured here during a visit to the Great Pyramid of Giza (aslo known as the Pyramid of Cheops) the oldest and largest of the three pyramids at Giza.
