Pattern 1908 cavalry sword, 1915 (c)

Widely regarded as the best British cavalry sword ever produced, the Pattern 1908 sword was designed solely for thrusting. When held with the arm fully extended and the rider forward in the saddle, as in a charge, the reach was close to that of a lance. It was one of the earliest swords to have a plastic grip.
