Whistle with khaki cord lanyard, 1916 (c)
High-pitched whistles were used by officers to signal orders on the noisy battlefield. This one belonged to Captain Ernest Ambler of 1st Battalion The Prince of Wales's Own (West Yorkshire Regiment).
