Prize medal for swimming, 1917

This British Expeditionary Force Recreational Training Medal was for coming second in the 40 yards breaststroke. It was awarded to Lance Corporal S K Jones of the Royal Engineers. When out of the line, troops were kept fit by their officers by taking part in sporting contests.
