Guard of honour, 25th (County of London) (Cyclists) Battalion, The London Regiment, Lewes, 1914

Members of 'A' Company, 25th (County of London) (Cyclists) Battalion, The London Regiment outside the Pelham Arms public house in Lewes in November 1914. They unit fired a salute in the adjacent graveyard of St Anne's Church.

This photograph was taken prior to the 25th Battalion's deployment to India in 1916. It remained there until the end of World War One (1914-1918), serving on the North West Frontier, and stayed on to participate in the 3rd Afghan War (1919).
